Chemistry NMR spectrometers are fully operational again.
House nitrogen is not working so VT has been disabled on all instruments until it’s fixed.
Update: Nitrogen is still off. Other than VT the major issue for us is that insert/eject air on the I400 is low. Contact Doug if you want to use the I400.
The Gem300 is down for repair, it will hopefully be ready later today or tomorrow.
The room ventilation is working again and all 4 spectrometers are back up.
We are having problems with the air conditioning system for the Chemistry NMR facility. All the spectrometers and computers have to be turned off. They are unavailable until the air conditioning system back to normal.
The Gem300 printer doesn’t work duo to its dead network card. A new card has been ordered. Please use the other printers before this printer gets fixed.
The 4-nucleus PFG probe is back from repair and has been installed on the I400. All four nuclei (1H, 13C, 19F, and 31P) work well.
Find z0 has been calibrated on the I500, I400 and VXR400. So the standard procedure can be used:
1) Select solvent and experiment
2) Find z0
3) Gradient shim
4) Autolock or manual lock
5) Acquire
You can still use Setlock instead of Find z0 for most solvents.
Due to lab air outage, the spectrometers in the Chemistry NMR facility will be shut down Tuesday (July 26th) morning 5:30-8:30am.
