IU NMR Facility

A step by step description on how to transfer data using a Mac or Linux computer has been posted under Training+Guides here. Give it a try. It might be easier than you think.

Frank will be attending 54th Experimental NMR Conference and Agilent User Meeting from April 12th to 19th. If you need assistance during this period, contact Dejian (855-4478, Simon 037).

You can email your NMR data in the current experiment (e.g. exp2) or a .fid data file you saved on spectrometers or workstations within VnmrJ, using the macro commands emaildata or vnmremail.

To email NMR data in the current experiment:
– to your IU email address: type emaildata
– to an email address you provide: emaildata(‘abc@gmail.com’)
– to multiple email addresses: emaildata(‘”abc@gmail.com xyz@indiana.edu”‘)

Data is sent as an attachement, with a name in format of Spectrometer-ExpNo-Date-Time.fid.zip (e.g. vxr400-exp2-20130409-1623.fid.zip).

emaildata was written by Frank Gao. vnmremail came with Chempack but has been modified by Frank. Contact Frank for any questions or comments.

They are all up running now.

No pressured air due to a power failure of the building (samples cannot be ejected from / inserted into the magnets). We’re waiting for utility crews to fix the power problem.

The spectrometers and computers in the Chemistry NMR lab as well as the nmr web server will be shut down, again, from December 18th 5pm to 19th 10am due to a scheduled power outage.

The spectrometers in the Chemistry NMR lab will be shut down during Tuesday (11/20) 5pm – Wednesday (11/21) 10am due to a power outage. The NMR web server and other computers in this lab will also be shut down during this time period.

ITG has fixed the Mnova license server problem. It works now.

The problem of the building air control system has been fixed. All the NMR spectrometers are up running at 11:30pm.

The room (C237) is getting very warm (> 40 C) duo to a problem on the building air control system. All the spectrometers in the chemistry NMR lab have been powered off at 8pm.
